Hello! I grew up in San Jose and Los Gatos and am a graduate of UC Santa Barbara. I returned home to the Bay Area and attended San Jose State for my teaching credential. I am beginning my 18th year teaching in Union School District, all at Alta Vista. For many years I taught 2nd grade. Then I was a STEAM teacher on special assignment, supporting teachers to integrate STEAM into their classrooms and lessons. I also taught 4th grade for one year, part time and stayed home the other days with my children. I am in my fourth year on the Kindergarten team and am thrilled to be working with this age group and alongside Mrs. Barbara and Mrs. Grist, who are both good friends of mine. 😁
I love, love, love sports. My husband and I met playing coed soccer together. Fast forward to now, we have two sons (7 and 4). In my free time I like to spend time playing with my family and watching movies together. I like to visit friends, travel, read, listen to music, and play/watch/coach sports.
I'm excited to learn alongside your Kindergartener this year. This age group is just magical to me. Kinder learners are full of genuine curiosity and enthusiastic to learn. It's such an exciting year full of amazing growth!
