In room 1 we honor birthdays with your child being the special person of the day. They get to be first in line that day and be the teacher's assistant. We will also sing the birthday song too.
OPTIONAL - Celebrate your child's birthday with an Alta Vista Library Birthday Book! For more information check out the AVHSC website. Click About Us, then click Programs We Support and scroll down to the Birthday Books. Here is the direct link to the programs we support page. *** You will want to start the Birthday Book process a few weeks before your child's birthday to allow time for purchasing, delivery, barcoding it for library circulation. Your child will get to check out their birthday book first and I will also read it out loud to the class on their birthday. ***Please send me a quick email letting me know you have purchased a birthday book for your child so I can be on the lookout for it. Thank you!

*** Birthday party invitations should not be passed out at school, as it can cause hurt feelings.
IF you are inviting the entire class to the party, then you may pass out invitations.
